More Hands-on Activities to Try with Your Rocket Coloring Pages
Recommended for: Kids of all ages
⭐ Design Your Own Rocket Logo
After completing their coloring pages, invite children to create a name and logo for one of their rockets, like Starlight 5000 or The Cosmic Cruiser–the sky’s the limit on what names could be! They can draw the name and logo into the margins of one of the coloring page or on a separate piece of paper.
⭐ Countdown Launch Game
Turn coloring time into an active play session! Have kids line up their finished rockets, then do a “3…2…1…” countdown before “launching” them (by sliding them across the table or gently tossing paper rockets in the air). Not only is this fun, it’s also a great way for preschoolers to work on counting backward.
⭐ Rocket Story Time
Encourage kids to imagine where their rocket is traveling. Have them write (or dictate) a short story about their rocket’s journey, including what planets it visits, who’s on board, and what exciting discoveries they make.
