Kwanzaa Kinara Placemat

Supplies:
- 5 sheets of heavy cardstock paper: black, yellow, red, green, and brown
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Ruler
- Pencil
Instructions:

Fold the brown piece of paper in half. Use the pencil and ruler to make lines spaced 1” apart from the folded edge to the free edge. Starting from the folded edge, cut along the lines to about one inch from the free edge. (Be careful not to cut all the way through.)

Measure and cut 1” strips: 3 red, 3 green, 3 black.

Weave the strips through the brown paper in this pattern: red, red, red, black, green, green, green.

Cut small squares of yellow paper to represent the candle flames, and glue them to the top of each colored strip. (You can do this right away, or add one flame for each night of Kwanzaa.)
Kwanzaa Collage Poster

Supplies:
- Kwanzaa printable coloring pages
- Posterboard
- Old magazines
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers or crayons
Instructions:

Print the Kwanzaa, Kwanzaa Cup, and Kwanzaa Candles coloring pages. Color them any way you like.

Trim the excess from the Kwanzaa coloring page and glue it to the center of the poster board. Cut out the cup and candles and add them to the poster.

On each day of Kwanzaa, look for images and words in the old magazines to cut out and add to the poster to represent that day’s principal. Invite guests at your Kwanzaa gatherings to add their own contributions as well!
