Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account Program and ABCmouse

Parents, guardians, and homeschooling families can leverage Arizona’s ESA funds to purchase ABCmouse, Adventure Academy, and ReadingIQ, as these premium online educational programs are approved partners for Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program.

ABCmouse is a trusted, award-winning early learning program that’s grounded in research and designed for children ages 2–8.

With thousands of interactive activities, including games, books, puzzles, and videos, ABCmouse helps make learning enjoyable while laying a strong foundation for academic success.

Each subscription includes access for up to three children and provides personalized learning paths for each child. Parents also benefit from a dedicated portal with tools to track their children’s progress.

With ESA funds, parents, guardians, and home educators can give their children an outstanding digital learning resource at no expense.

You can use your ESA funds on the following Age of Learning products to help support your homeschool or supplement classroom learning.

ABCmouse

ABCmouse offers a research-validated curriculum for preschool through 2nd grade. With thousands of engaging activities across reading, math, science, and art, ABCmouse helps children build a strong academic foundation at home or on the go. Each subscription supports up to three children and comes with a parent portal for easy progress tracking.

Adventure Academy

Adventure Academy immerses elementary- and middle-school-age students in a safe virtual world where every activity is designed to build critical knowledge in academic subjects, including language arts, math, science, social studies, and more.

With thousands of activities to choose from, including videos, games, books, quizzes, and other interactive elements, kids can build essential knowledge, pursue their interests, and personalize their learning experience by creating an Avatar, completing Quests, and interacting with their peers.

Reading IQ

ReadingIQ offers over 1,000 books for children ages 2 through 10 and makes it easy to track and monitor your children’s progress as he or she reads and learns. You can view detailed reports on how many books your children are reading, the level he or she is reading at, and more.

The state provides an average of $6,000–$7,500 per year—sometimes higher for students with special needs–making it one of the oldest and most expansive ESA programs in the U.S., serving over 83,000 students in 2024–25.
