UX Designer
The Age of Learning User Experience Designer role is an integral part of the User Experience Group and will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams.
Qualifications:
  • User Experience: Ability to produce documents that define functionality, content, navigation, and interaction models through wireframes, site-maps, process flowcharts, page description diagrams.
  • Design: Great visual design skills grounded in real-world solutions and the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations
  • Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc., and mastery of whiteboard and sticky notes (Big Bonus Points for HTML/CSS chops)
  • Storytelling: The ability to mix visual design, user experience and copy into engaging whole that engages, delights and enlightens
  • Presentation: Strong verbal, written and presentations skills
Duties would include:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic or Industrial Design, Computer Science, HCI, Fine Arts, or related fields; or equivalent experience

  • Candidates should have at least 5 - 10 years of professional experience prototyping and information architecture
  • Experience designing user experience for complex applications is a must

We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to work on a series of high quality children’s projects.

Qualifications:

Design Manager, Brand
The Design Manager, Brand is primarily responsible for design strategy and execution for Age of Learning brand development, namely as executed in print, merchandise, digital and event specific deliverables. The candidate will work in close partnership with key business stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet overall business goals, communication objectives and potential KPIs. They will also be responsible for building a talented team of visual designers and best-inclass external resources to develop and deliver the highest quality branded assets.

Reporting to the Creative Director, Brand, they will work to optimize design production pipelines and manage deadlines while evangelizing the brand and creating incredibly entertaining and educational products. It will be important for this people-manager to work well under pressure with the ability to produce as well as lead artwork in short time frames. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced, evolving environment and is comfortable handling conceptual development through execution while building out the dedicated creative team and external partner resources.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of creative development experience on print and digital properties, product or marketing side as demonstrated in an outstanding portfolio
  • Hands-on creative with ability to execute pristine mechanical files across Adobe Suite, and evaluate other's files prior to delivery to vendor
  • Expert in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Solid creative leadership skills, demonstrated by team management history
  • Proven success in online and emerging technology a plus
  • Highly collaborative manner with the ability to deliver inspirational and resourceful creative
  • Team player with an inspirational and collaborative tone & manner and proactive approach to innovation
  • Solid experience sourcing and managing creative professionals: internal staff, freelancers and external agencies/artists
  • Ability to grow and mentor artists and develop their skills over time
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with proficiency in Adobe CC
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Solid experience selecting and managing external contractors and vendors
  • Self-motivated, highly responsive and flexible
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Sense of humor required :)
Duties would include:
  • Create and oversee exceptional graphic design founded on industry best practices from internal, freelance and agency talent to achieve the highest level of branded design for Age of Learning
  • Manage day-to-day Design deliverables and process, and yet be comfortable to speak to Executive level strategy and iterate confidently on feedback
  • With Creative Director, Brand—develop Design standards and processes for the end-to-end creative development, approvals and distributions
  • With Creative Director, Brand—develop Age of Learning brand strategy and visual iteration across all mediums and channels
  • Ability to lead and grow the Creative team through organizational challenges and new business growth and opportunities

Senior Graphic Designer, Brand
The Senior Graphic Designer, Brand will work with Creative Director—Brand,
and Design Manager—Brand, to implement design direction that incorporates
best practices in design and technology. With expert proficiency in Adobe
Creative Cloud, amazing typography skills, the Senior Graphic
Designer—Brand, takes personal responsibility for delivery of expertly crafted
design and is responsible producing all marketing and collateral materials, which
promote and maintain the corporate brand, Age of Learning, as well as the
ABCmouse.com website.
Projects include special event design and signage, print collateral, advertising,
merchandise, custom digital and print assets for media use, book layout, photo
retouching, image comping, packaging, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of children
  • Strong understanding of design systems and developing design parameters based on the problem at hand
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Value effective design over stylistic authorship design
  • Ability to deliver excellent results, on time
  • Effectively communicate design direction, rationale, and iterations
  • Strong typography skills and comfortable working with type (logo maestro)
  • Expert with print production process
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to utilize InDesign features and design hierarchy over several pages or documents
