Front-End Developer
We are seeking a full time in-house front-end developer to join our programming department. This person will work directly with our team of programmers to implement an ongoing number of projects.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work closely with a fast-paced, deadline-oriented team of designers and coders
  • Strong attention to detail, rigorous in self-testing code and delivering high quality work
  • Sense of humor and great work ethic required – we work hard and have a lot of fun doing it!
  • 4+ years of Professional Web front-end development experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery
  • Experience building cross browser user interfaces for both web and mobile applications
  • Knowledge and ability to hand code quality HTML5 and CSS files
  • Proficient with HTML5 application development with a deep understanding of the key architectural concepts that differentiate HTML5 development from traditional web based development
  • Experience with PHP a huge plus
Duties would include:
  • Develop, create and implement user interaction using XHTML, HTML and JavaScript
  • Work closely with designers, project managers, and software engineers including iOS and Android developers
  • Develop prototypes and templates for various web applications

QA Automation Engineer
We are seeking a full time QA Automation engineer whose primary responsibility will be developing automation code across desktop browsers, Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast pace setting with tight deadlines and be able to facilitate the discovery and resolution of software issues using automation. Qualifications:
  • Experience developing tests that will run within an automated regression testing framework and system
  • Experience with object-oriented PHP and PHPUnit
  • Scripting experience using PHP
  • Understanding of API usage and structure

  • Ability to analyze existing software and identify units of testable behavior

Senior JavaScript Engineer
We are seeking a Sr. JavaScript Engineer capable of creating high-performance, web-based, front-end systems using JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 for use on desktop and mobile devices.

In this position you will be contributing to the architectural design of our web-based products, our technology choices for front-end development, and performing stability and performance assessments of existing code for the purpose of suggesting (and subsequently) improving our products.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience JavaScript engineering
  • Have worked in JavaScript designs patterns such as MVC, MVP, and MVVM, and can explain advantages and disadvantages of each
  • Familiar with JavaScript frameworks and can explain the benefits and deficits between leveraging Backbone vs Angular vs Ember vs etc
  • Advanced with html5, css3 and complementary technologies
  • Advanced skills in developing cross-browser, standards compliant user interfaces
  • Great communicator and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to solve complex problems without use of a JavaScript framework
  • Experienced with performance tuning and optimization techniques for front-end systems
  • Have experience in leading a team of 3 or more front-end developers
Duties would include:
  • Perform critical reviews of existing JavaScript/HTML/CSS code and suggest improvements
  • Guide and mentor developers with the intention of improving their skills and work product
  • Solve complex problems with simple architectural solutions
  • Perform hands-on development within existing code/products as well as new projects

Technical Writer
We are seeking a full time Technical Writer whose primary responsibility will be documenting complex product specifications into simple concise text that is comprehensible for stakeholders, producers, and the development team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a software production life cycle and be able to describe product specifications and functionality.
Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience in working in a software production lifecycle required
  • Ability to produce documents that define functionality, content, navigation, and interaction models through wireframes, site-maps, process flowcharts, page description diagrams
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the area of expertise
  • Jira and Confluence experience is a plus
  • Multimedia skills, such as programming, and Web design is a plus

Mobile Project Manager
Age of Learning is seeking a high-energy, flexible, Senior Level Project Manager with strong communication and team building skills. As the Mobile Project Manager, this individual must not only lead, inspire, and mentor a multi-platform team of developers, they will be the point person for all Age of Learning mobile initiatives; this means working with engineers and technology directors to plan upcoming sprints based on requirements from many disparate divisions across the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with iOS, Android, and Unity development
  • A solid background in Agile project management methodologies and JIRA master

  • Experienced with all areas of app submissions to Apple, Amazon, and Google Play - as well as international based Android app stores such as Baidu, Wandoujia, 360, etc.
  • Experience with Apple IAPs creations and submissions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence to help ensure our Apps continue to be beloved by our users and stay at the top of the charts across all app stores
