Account Includes All of These Features:
More than 2,000 learning activities for children age 2 through kindergarten, with books, songs, games, puzzles, art activities, and printables that make it easy to give every student learning resources matching his or her level of learning and preferred learning styles.
A step-by-step reading program that starts with oral vocabulary development, phonemic awareness practice, concepts of print and the alphabet and extends to basic phonics, sight words, word families, and beginning readers.
A step-by-step mathematics program that focuses on numbers, shapes, addition and subtraction facts, and also introduces students to patterns and measurement concepts. An important aspect of the ABCmouse.com mathematics curriculum is the site’s Tickets and Rewards system, which familiarizes children with concepts of more and less, counting, and addition and subtraction as they earn tickets to use to “purchase” items for their avatar, room, the classroom aquarium, and other site environments.
Science and Social Studies learning activities that parallel a child’s developing curiosity. Topics include the body, health, sports, occupations, how plants grow, types of animals, weather, the 50 states, the Earth and Solar System, and more.
The full ABCmouse.com Library, with hundreds of nonfiction and fiction books, each voiced and creatively authored and designed to be interesting, visually appealing, and appropriate for young children. The nonfiction collection includes engaging photo-illustrated books about the alphabet, numbers, shapes, weather, animals, colors, health, occupations, and many other typical early childhood education topics. The fiction collection includes our popular Aesop’s Fables series, Beginning Reader series, and Search and Explore series, as well as an assortment of classic fairy tales and original stories–all featuring creative original illustrations.
“My students and I have been using ABCmouse.com for about a month, and we love it! As soon the kids come in the morning, they ask when they get to use the smart board for ABCmouse.com. This program is just a wonderful resource for me—I’m recommending it to all of my colleagues. Thank you, ABCmouse.com!”
