In addition to helping children learn to enjoy music and using songs to teach other curriculum subjects, ABCmouse.com’s Music curriculum, currently in development, is also intended to teach children some of the fundamental aspects of creating music.
The main Music and Songs page features a keyboard that allows children to learn to play familiar songs or create their own music. It also features a “Sing-Along” mode that helps children to learn to sing traditional songs, either along with other children’s voices or with instrumental accompaniment only.
This curriculum is reinforced by coloring pages, printables, and a book that introduces many common musical instruments so that children can become familiar with their names, how they are played, and what they look like.
